IdioGenius - The Electronic Music Machine 2 (Tribute to Raymond Scott)
The purpose of this project is to pay tribute to the father of electronic music. Raymond Scott. I believe all modern day musicians owe so much to this man. Raymond Scott literally invented electronic music with a soldering iron, some components, and an imagination.
I have taken some of his work and remixed it for a newer generation of people to create awareness of him and his achievements. It’s the marriage of the very first electronic music machine, and where electronic music machines have become today.
The approach I take is very minimalistic. It also pays a small tribute to J Dilla. He used Raymond Scott’s work in the track “Lightworks” and is also a influential figure in both my music as well as my generation. Rest in peace to both J Dilla and Raymond Scott.
